The Netcomm Forum 2025, held on April 15 and 16 in Milan, once again confirmed itself as the key reference event for the e-commerce industry, with an increasing focus on automation, artificial intelligence, omnichannel strategies, and logistics optimization.
We also attended the event, where we had the opportunity to see all the latest innovations up close and meet some of our partners: PrestaShop and Iubenda. These were intense days of idea exchange, discussion, and knowledge sharing that will allow us to plan future projects in line with the trends and innovations presented at Netcomm.
Here is an overview of the main highlights that emerged over the two days of the event.
Evolving technologies: an integrated, predictive, and automated future
The common thread of the 2025 edition was undoubtedly the now central role of artificial intelligence. From established players to emerging startups, the most innovative solutions showcased how AI is becoming a silent yet active presence within e-commerce platforms, CRMs, collaborative tools, and logistics services. We are no longer talking only about chatbots or basic automation: today AI writes content, creates videos, analyzes data, takes meeting notes, and suggests contextual actions within workflows. Tools such as Gemini, NotebookLM, Google Vids, or the new personalized assistants known as “Gems” demonstrate how content production and sales support processes can become tailored and scalable.
At the same time, the importance of omnichannel integration was further reinforced: marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, social media, and physical retail must now operate as a single system powered by consistent, real-time data. Logistics is also evolving, with advanced dashboards for order management, live tracking, returns automation, and delivery route optimization. Customer focus is reflected in advertising as well, with systems promising predictive analysis of campaign effectiveness and new metrics to accurately measure return on investment, finally from a true cross-channel perspective.
Completing the picture, there was also significant discussion around content and AI-integrated dynamic SEO. New AI tools now act as generators of automated product pages, user-profile-based personalized landing pages, content automation platforms, and real-time semantic optimizers. These developments show that content is still king, but today it is also the first ambassador of technological efficiency.
E-commerce: a dynamic ecosystem interconnected with AI
The Netcomm Forum 2025 delivers a strong and clear message: e-commerce is no longer just an “online storefront”, but a dynamic, intelligent, and interconnected ecosystem.
To remain competitive, companies will need to integrate:
- AI within workflows and customer interactions
- Automation in logistics and marketing
- Structured data for faster and more accurate decision-making
